Tastings

Wine tastings should be fun, not pretentious. After all you are there to enjoy yourself, hopefully discover some new wine and maybe learn a bit along the way. You may not want someone preaching at you about the length, bouquet and ‘oooh, can you detect a whiff of gun smoke in there somewhere?’ or you may...

We genuinely love our wines and want to share them with you so you can fall in love with them too. Loire wines are mostly still made by small family concerns which have often been passed down the generations. Each winemaker is viewed as the caretaker until it gets passed down to the next generation.

They are passionate about their wine and often very traditional in their methods. Their aim is not to produce an exact replica each year, just to make the best they can given the conditions they are given. Did you know that if you have an AOC in France that you cannot irrigate your vines no matter how dry they get? This just show you how much they rely on nature and their ability to make the best of it.

We regularly do small tastings for interested people to introduce them to these wines which are often not that well known.

We want them to be informal, friendly and sociable so we generally hold them in small village halls or meeting rooms for about 20 or 30 people. Hopefully you can all circulate, taste the wines and have a chat and maybe make some new friends at the same time. And of course, hopefully discover some new wine which will be available for delivery. Email if you want to join our mailing list for these events.

We can also do a tasting especially for your group, charity or society depending on your requirements.

If you are interested please email us your details and we will contact you to see what you would require.
